Database Introduction

The CAS SciFinder Discovery Platform is an authoritative scientific research tool from CAS scientists curate and index scientific data daily from chemistry and chemistry-related interdisciplinary scientific areas including biology, medicines, materials science, food science, applied chemistry, chemical engineering, agriculture science, polymers, physics, and more. The content resources are from journals, international patents, dissertations, proceedings, pre-press papers, books, and internet content. Whether you are reviewing the literature for funding applications and manuscripts, developing experimental plans for new projects or searching for collaborators to help you advance research in your field, the CAS SciFinder Discovery Platform speeds your connection to relevant insights.

CAS SciFinder Discovery Platform consists of three solutions: CAS SciFindern, CAS Analytical Methods™, and CAS Formulus®.

The International Science and Technology Information Center has subscribed to the Database, which is open to scientific research institutions such as universities in Shenzhen.


Users' Guides

1. Please link to Southern University of Science and Technology school domain email when accessing SciFinder. Non-campus domain email will lead to access issues.

2. CAS SciFinder Discovery Platform (Academic) are frequently updated, you can find the details on CAS website (www.cas.org) or library web page.

3. Protect intellectual property rights and reasonably use the database for academic research only. Real-name access and not share your Federation ID with others. Excessive downloading is prohibited (electronic storage must not exceed 5,000 records). Access SciFinder in unauthorized organizations is strictly prohibited.
