ProQuest Dissertations & Theses (PQDT)

Database Introduction

ProQuest Dissertations & Theses (PQDT) is a world-renowned dissertation database that contains abstract information of over 2.7 million dissertations from over 2,000 universities in Europe and the United States, covering various disciplines such as arts, science, engineering, agriculture and medicine, and is by far the largest international database of doctoral dissertations in the world. Since 2002, more than 200 university libraries in China have jointly purchased a certain number of full-text ProQuest dissertations every year and provided network sharing, i.e. all member libraries participating in the joint subscription can share all the dissertation resources subscribed by the whole group. Up to now, the group has purchased the full text of nearly 950,000 dissertations. In order to make it easier and faster for our patrons to use foreign dissertations, the Library has joined the consortium to purchase the full text of PQDT's dissertations, so that patrons can easily access the full text of PQDT's dissertations.

Note: The Library orders a certain number of additional full-text PQDT dissertations each year and welcomes recommendations from patrons.Invitation to Recommend Dissertations and Theses 2023.docx
