Database Introduction
The Academic Essentials is an assessment reference tool developed by the CNKI Evaluation Center to facilitate the identification of representative publications and evaluate the influence of scholarly research outputs. This system performs statistical analyses on domestic journals, conference proceedings, and Chinese doctoral/master's dissertations from the past decade, identifying high-impact publications based on citation counts, PCSI indices, and download frequencies while providing certification for selected works. The database comprises the top 10% most-cited publications across various disciplines and cited monographs from the past ten years, offering personalized evaluation reports to comprehensively assess research impact and peer citation feedback. Through real-name authentication, scholars can document their academic accomplishments, and the system generates evaluation reports based on researcher-selected outputs to measure scholarly influence.
