The American Physiological Society (APS), founded in 1887, is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing education, scientific research, and the promotion of physiology. It currently boasts over 10,500 members, the vast majority of whom hold doctoral degrees in physiology, medicine, or other health-related fields. The Society publishes 14 professional journals, newsletters, and a series of books and manuals, addressing a wide range of research topics within the field of physiology. Thirteen of these journals are indexed in SCI. The content of these publications spans all aspects of physiology, from cellular and molecular studies to organ systems. The APS database encompasses journals and books that cover a comprehensive range of physiological systems, providing valuable resources for the study of human and animal physiology.
