Annual Reviews was founded by scientists in 1932 to address their constant challenge—finding time to read the most important research in their discipline. Today, researchers must keep up with their own fields and also track developments in adjoining subjects to discover the significance of research and find opportunities for collaboration.

Its journal collections currently have 51 journals in the Biomedical, Life, Physical, and Social Sciences and support academics and students at all levels, and increase the discovery and understanding of vital research contributions.

Research article output increases at 3% per year. To stay informed, researchers use review articles to efficiently find what is most relevant.
