Database Introduction

The American Geophysical Union (AGU) is a non-profit international scientific organization founded in 1919. Its research involves earth and space sciences, including the exploration of planets, the study of the structure and chemical composition of the Earth's interior, the study of the Earth's atmosphere and the causes of climate change. Published in 2013 by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. AGU today has over 60,000 members from the field of Earth and space science worldwide, publishes 20 journal titles on geophysical research, and has a large collection of specialized books on Earth and space science published by Geopress. The journals published by AGU are known for their high quality and wide range of subjects, accounting for 25% of the publications and 40% of the citations of earth science journals worldwide.
