Database Introduction

Scopus is the world's largest database of peer-reviewed abstracts and citation indexes.  Scopus covers 27 first level disciplines and 334 second level disciplines in natural science, medical science, social science and life science. Among them, Scopus literatures are particularly advantageous in the fields of humanities, social science, computer science and engineering. As research becomes increasingly global, cross-disciplinary and collaborative, you need to keep an eye on important research findings from around the world.

• Over 30,000 journals from more than 7,000 international publishers in 105 countries, including more than 26,000 active peer-reviewed journals  

• More than 5,800 active Golden OA journals with more than 9 million OA articles  

• More than 8,700 journals are in print  

• More than 260,000 books  

• More than 11 million conference papers  

• More than 48 million international patents  

• Publications covering more than 40 languages and more than 1,000 high-quality Chinese journals
