Database Introduction

1.Academic Search Premier (ASP) 


Designed specifically for academic institutions, Academic Search Premier is a multi-disciplinary full text database containing full text for more than 4600 journals, indexing and abstracts for more than 18800 journals. This scholarly collection offers information in nearly every area of academic study including: computer sciences, engineering, physics, chemistry, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, ethnic studies, and many more. This database is updated daily on EBSCOhost.

2.Business Source Complete (BSC) 


Business Source Complete is the industry’s most used business research database, providing full text for more than 3700 journals, including full text for more than 1800 peer-reviewed business publications. This database provides full text back to 1886. Journal ranking studies reveal that Business Source Complete is superior to the competition in full text coverage in all disciplines of business, including marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance and economics. Business Source Complete contains full text from the world's top management and marketing journals including Harvard Business Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Marketing Research (JMR) etc. The database also includes other sources of full text information such as country economic reports from the EIU, Global Insight, ICON Group and CountryWatch and detailed company profiles for the world's 10,000 largest companies. Additional full text, non-journal content includes market research reports, industry reports, country reports, company profiles and SWOT analyses. Business Source Premier contains PDF images for the great majority of journals; many of these PDF's are native (searchable) or scanned-in-color. This database is updated daily on EBSCOhost.



ERIC (Education Resources Information Center) is an authoritative database of indexed and full-text education literature and resources. ERIC contains 19,000,000 records and links to 590,000 full-text documents.

4.Teacher Reference Center


A complimentary research database for teachers, Teacher Reference Center (TRC) provides indexing and abstracts for more than 230 peer-reviewed journals. 



GreenFILE is a free research database covering all aspects of human impact to the environment. 



Created by the United States National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE is an authoritative bibliographic database containing citations and abstracts for biomedical and health journals used by health care professionals, nurses, clinicians and researchers. 

7.Newspaper Source


Newspaper Source provides cover-to-cover full text for hundreds of national (U.S.), international and regional newspapers. Content includes more than 520 full-text newspapers.

8.Regional Business News


Regional Business News provides full-text regional business publications for the United States and Canadian provinces. Content includes more than 290 full-text newspapers and newswires,more than 711,000 full-text TV and radio news transcripts.

9.Library, Information Science and Technology Abstracts


Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA) is a free research database for library and information science studies. 

10.European Views of the Americas: 1493 to 1750


It includes thousands of valuable primary source records covering the history of European exploration as well as portrayals of Native American peoples. 

11.EBSCO Open Dissertations


Content includes 1,500,000 electronic theses and dissertations and 320 worldwide universities that have loaded their dissertations to date.

12.EBSCO eClassics Collection


EBSCO eClassics Collection includes 25 classic and leisure reading ebooks written by well-known writers, like Dickens, London, Wells and Melville.
