A book with status of “available” in the library catalogue system can not be found in the stacks. Why?

The reasons may include: (1) It is a new book and is not available for shelving yet. (2) The books on the shelf are not arranged in correct order, so the book is not in its right place; (3) The book is being used by other patrons inside the library at the moment.
