“My Story with the Library”—Exhibition of Essays by Graduates

August 26,2019, the first day of the Orientation Week for Freshmen, saw the opening of the exhibition of essays by graduates on the third floor of library.

The tradition of essays by graduates telling their stories with the library began in 2014 with the first cohort of graduates ever since SUSTech established , and it has been in its sixth year by bow with more than 30 essays collected altogether, 15 of which were selected for the exhibition. Of these selected essays, some are memories of experiences using the library at the temporary campus before moving to the current campus; others are appreciations of the library services; still others are suggestions for an even better library. These essays are written in different styles or genres, recordings and feelings of graduates’ true life experiences with the library, as well as their personal accomplishments with help of library and its staff.

This exhibition is open from August 26 to September 7, 2019. Everyone is welcome to visit it and share the personal feelings and experiences of these essayists that may still be happening now.
