Dear patrons,
According to arrangement of the university, during the winter holiday from January 13 to February 14, 2025, Library opening hours and services are as follows:
1. Lynn Library and the Learning Nexus
Lynn Library and the Learning Nexus will be closed from January 20 to February 12.Please borrow books you need from Lynn Library before it is closed if possible.
2. Yidan Library
2.1 During the winter holiday from January 13 to February 14 (except for the eight-day Spring Festival holiday), the opening hours of the second, third and fourth floors will be adjusted to 8:00-22:00, the 24HR Study Space on the first floor will be open as normal, and the service hours of the Service Desk will remain unchanged. Reservation of Lecture Room, Studio and Classroom will be suspended.
2.2 Yidan Library will be closed from January 16-19 for cleaning.
2.3 During the Spring Festival holiday (January 28 to February 4), only the 24HR Study Space on the first floor will be open from 8:00 to 22:00, and the Service Desk will be out of service.
3. Extension of the borrowing period for books and JD Reads
Books and JD Reads that are due between January 13 and February 21 can be returned before February 21, 2025.
4. Borrow by appointment
While the Lynn library closes, books need to be borrowed by appointment. If needed indeed, a call can be made on a book as specified below:
4.1 Find the information about the book on the library website. Send the information of the book (title, author and call number) and reader’s information (name, Campus Card No. and cell phone number) to: lib_ref@sustech.edu.cn.
4.2 After receiving the required information, the library staff will send an email or call the reader, informing him or her how to pick up the book.
5. Off-campus access of databases
During the winter holiday, most electronic resources purchased by the library can be accessed off-campus. For detailed information, please refer to “Library Website - Collections - Electronic Collections - Off-Campus Access”.
