Database Description

Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Switzerland, the European Mathematical Society currently has about 50 international organizations and 5 multinational organizations. So far, EMS has more than 3000 individual members, composed of applied and computational mathematicians, computer scientists, engineers, statisticians and mathematics educators from more than 60 countries in Europe.  EMS has a very important academic position in Europe and is also the main editorial board of German mathematical abstracts.


By the end of 2022, EMS has published 256 ebooks. Since 2004, more than 50000 pages of high-quality articles have been published. All online books can be downloaded (PDF). In the future, about 10-15 kinds of books are planned to be published every year. The series includes the following 10 kinds: EMS Monographs in Mathematics (EMM), EMS Series of Congress Reports (ECR), EMS Series of Lectures in Mathematics (ELM), EMS Textbooks in Mathematics (ETB), EMS Tracts in Mathematics (ETM), ESI Lectures in Mathematics and Physics (ESI), Heritage of European Mathematics (HEM), IRMA Lectures in Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (IRMA), The QGM Master Class Series (QGM), and Zurich Lectures in Advanced Mathematics (ZLAM).


The library purchased its ebooks published from 2004 to 2024 and provided them to our teachers and students.
