Database Introduction

Optica (formerly OSA) was founded in 1916 to enhance and disseminate optical knowledge, including purely theoretical and applied knowledge, and to safeguard the common interests of optical researchers, cartographers, and users of various optical instruments, and to promote cooperation between them. Today, Optica has more than 22,000 members, including scientists, engineers, educators, technicians and business leaders in the fields of optics and photonics. OPTICA database includes 19 journals (including 8 partnered journals), 7 discontinued journals and OPTICA topical conference series, major industry conference proceedings (OFC, CLEO, FiO), Optics Image Bank and more than ten e-books. OPTICA database includes more than 500,000 full-text articles. The Library has subscribed to the full database.
