After great efforts of the library staff and the support of related departments as well as many other SUSTechers, the Learning Nexus is scheduled to open for trial operation on November 23.
The word 涵泳, originated from The Chapter Variorum of the Four Books by Zhu Xi, a great ancient Chinese scholar, means to seek calmly and examine thoroughly. The Learning Nexus, one of three libraries on the SUSTech campus, is a two story building of 1,200 square meters. Different from conventional library spaces, it is a space conducive to learning in various forms.
Two kinds of collections are housed in the Learning Nexus: Special Collections in Arts and reference works on technology. Books and other materials here are for in-library use only.
Typical spaces in the Learning Nexus include one conference room, four group study rooms, one exhibit area, a number of collaborative learning spaces, one computer hub with 10 computer workstations and one independent area with 53 seats.
Opening Hours: Mon-Sun 8:00-22:00
During the trial operation, the Learning Nexus will further improve its facilities and management details. Users are welcome to make suggestions for improvement of the whole facility. Thank you for your support and cooperation. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact: email@example.com.
